Ronald S. Warnecke
Ottawa - Ronald S. Warnecke, 77, of Ottawa died 12:10 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 at Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center. He was born December 31, 1940 in Kalida to the late Rudolph and Dorothy (Hohenbrink) Warnecke. On April 1, 1967 he married Veronica "Roni" Wirick who survived in Ottawa.
Ron is also survived by their children: Michele (Bryan) Zienta of Fremont, Leigh Warnecke of West Lake; a granddaughter, Olivia Zienta; brothers and sisters: Leon (Diane) Warnecke of Ottawa, Tom (Vera) Warnecke of Arizona, Lynda (Mike) Conley of Lima and Denise Warnecke of Huntsville. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Scott Warnecke and a brother, Bill (Sue) Warnecke.
Ron was a truck driver and a veteran of the US Navy, during peacetime. He enjoyed Sprint and NASCAR races and going to the river. One of his greatest loves was attending his granddaughter’s many activites, no matter how big or small.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with Deacon Jim Rump officiating. There will be military rites following the funeral service at the funeral home by Ottawa VFW, American Legion and the Am Vets. Visitation will be on Saturday, 10 am until the time of service.
