Rosemary "Rosie" Schroeder

  NEW CLEVELAND - Rosemary "Rosie" Schroeder, 83, of New Cleveland died 12:50 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born November 11, 1937 in Putnam County to the late Waldo and Philamena (Schmitt) Lammers.  On November, 8, 1958, she married Robert A. Schroeder.  He died February 1, 2017.

 Survivors include six children: Leo (Annette) Schroeder of Miller City, Roger (Linda) Schroeder, Leroy (Lisa) Schroeder, Richard (Carmella) Schroeder, Marlene (Daryl) Maag all of New Cleveland and Mary Lou (Rick) Herman of Glandorf; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita (Bernard) Ziegler of Deshler; and a brother-in-law, Francis Ziegler of Deshler.

  She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Lammers and Ronald Lammers; and two sisters: Ruth Ziegler and Rosalie Korte.

  Rosie worked at Libby's for a short time and then retired from Phillips in Ottawa.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Altar Rosary Society, as well as the Miller City Sportsman's Club and Red Hat Society. Rosie enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.

  Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Monsignor Charles Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In keeping with social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m.  Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and/or church.
