Ryan P. Maas
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (FORMERLY OF OTTAWA) - Ryan P. Maas, 25, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Ottawa, died at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. He was born July 6, 1996 in Lima to Dennis and Pam (Radabaugh) Maas who survive in Ottawa.
Other survivors include a maternal grandmother: Eva Jane Radabaugh of Ottawa; two sisters: Jamie (Ray) Rondini of Napoleon and Lindsay (Justin Gibson) Maas of Van Wert; two nephews: Clark Neidert and Cooper Gibson; and a niece: Willow Neidert.
Ryan was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather: Bill Radabaugh; and paternal grandparents: Donald and Julie Maas.
Ryan was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. He was an Eagle Scout for Troop #224, a 2015 graduate of Ottawa Glandorf High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Ryan worked as a Dragon Integration Technician for SpaceX. He loved baseball, skateboarding, the Fighting Bengals 224 and his SpaceX crew. He was so proud of his accomplishments in both the Marines and SpaceX. He loved hanging out with family and friends whom he loved deeply. He was the best uncle and loved his niece and nephews very much. Ryan loved to have fun and make people laugh. He was always there to help people any way he could. He never knew a stranger and was a very loyal friend. He gave the best hugs and ended every conversation with, "I love you!"
Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW, American Legion and AMVETS. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
