Sandra J. Maas

   OTTAWA - Sandra J. Maas, 61, of Ottawa died 10:25 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her residence.  She was born May 23, 1960 in Lima to John A. and Joann S. (Zeisloft) Winkle.  Her father is deceased and her mother survives in Leipsic.  On April 27, 1985 she married Joseph E. Maas, he survives in Ottawa. 

   Her greatest accomplishment were her 3 children:  Derek (Erica) Maas of Leipsic, Chelsea (Matt) Cheeseman of Columbus, Hannah Maas of Ottawa.  Her pride and joy were her grandbabies:  Jacquelyn Maas, Lyndi Maas, Phoenix Cheeseman, Abram Maas and Atlas Cheeseman.  She is also survived by siblings:  Steve (Deb) Winkle of Bowling Green, Randy (Karen) Winkle of Westerville and Sue (Eric) Steingass of Leipsic and a sister-in-law:  Joan Winkle of Findlay.

   Sandra is preceded in death by a brother:  Rod Winkle.

   Sandra was the Project MORE Coordinator at the Education Service Center, Ottawa.  She dedicated her life to her family and children.

Sandra's funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and again from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
