  CUYAHOGA FALLS formerly of LIMA – Sara Jo Peckinpaugh, 87, of Cuyahoga Falls, formerly of Lima, died at 11:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at The Gardens of Cuyahoga Falls.  She was born September 21, 1934, in Lima to the late Joseph and Martha (Mohr) Ruff.  On December 31, 1953, she married Charles Peckinpaugh, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2001.

  Survivors include two daughters: Cindy (Lee) Yeaton of Oswego, IL and Beth (Rob) Peckinpaugh of Stow; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

  She was also preceded in death by a son, Bill Peckinpaugh.

  Sara Jo was a retired elementary teacher with Bath Local Schools. She was fond of dogs and had several loving companions throughout her life. Sara loved being at the lake with her family, where she enjoyed fishing, waterskiing, and floating on the water. Her joy in life was instilling the love of lake life onto her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services will begin 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating.  Burial will follow at Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
