Stephen Allen Wagner
MILLER CITY – Stephen Allen Wagner, 65, of Miller City, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, at his residence. He was born November 6, 1957, in Lima to the late Paul and Dorothy (Maag) Wagner. On April 28, 1979, he married Janet Erford, she survives in Miller City.
Also surviving are four children: Matt (Kelly) Wagner, Mandi (Jeremy) Kuhlman, Brady (Jenna) Wagner, all of Miller City, and Brittany (Cody) Buss of Kalida; 10 grandchildren: Brody, Brynn, Lexie and Cole Kuhlman, Mackenzie Wagner, Piper, Zoe and West Wagner, Wyatt and Walker Buss, and baby Buss on the way; siblings: Jim (Judy) Wagner, Tom (Linda) Wagner, both of New Bavaria, Bonnie (John) Fortman of Glandorf, Nancy (Paul) Schroeder of New Bavaria, Kathy (Ron) Niese of Miller City, Mike (Eileen) Wagner of New Bavaria, Mary Ann Stechschulte of Ottawa, Marty (Sandy) Wagner of Miller City; sisters-in-law: Jane Riepenhoff and Karen Wagner, both of Miller City.
He is preceded in death by twin sons, Jason and Joshua Wagner; in-laws, Mack and Rita Erford; and brothers, Norm and Jeff Wagner.
Steve had a deep love for his family and friends. He was part owner of Wagner Farms and Sawmill. Steve loved all things outdoors and sharing that with his kids and grandkids. Hunting, fishing, and camping, especially at the Section. He loved to garden and passed that along to his kids, especially his boys. He loved giving his grandkids rides on his Gator and sharing his hidden snacks.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Father Scott Perry and Deacon Jim Rump officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
