Thomas J. Kistler, Jr.
PANDORA - Thomas J. Kistler Jr., 81, of Pandora, died at 1:38 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born February 8, 1940 in Ottawa to the late Thomas and Anna (McMonigal) Kistler. On October 10, 1964 he married Mary Chamberlin, she survives in Pandora.
He is also survived by a son: Derrick Kistler of Pandora; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Richard Kistler and Roger Kistler, both of Ottawa; and three sisters: Mary Lou (Rick) Wolford of Findlay, Mildred Zachrich of Leipsic, and Elizabeth Bogaert of North Carolina.
Thomas is preceded in death by a son, Darin Kistler.
Thomas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors, Defiance in 2000 and was a member of the UAW Local 211.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home and church.
