Wanetta I. Bradford
OAKWOOD - Wanetta I. Bradford, 97, of Oakwood died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born August 26, 1915 in Melrose to the late Alfred and Golda (Eblin) McCullough. On August 27, 1932 she married Guy M. Bradford who died August 17, 1985.
She is survived by a son: Don (Faith) Bradford of Oakwood; 4 grandchildren: Brian Bradford, Sheila (Scott) Kiner, Lisa Ladd, and Amy (Kevin) Park; 9 great-grandchildren: 8 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters: Opal Hill of Crown Point, IN. and Bernadette Guyton of Defiance. She was also preceded in death by a son: Alfred Bradford; a granddaughter: Jennifer Bradford; a grandson-in-law: Dale Ladd; a great-grandson: Darrien Hurtt; and a sister: Othal McCullough.
Wanetta was a homemaker and had worked at the former Dicky Manufacturing in Oakwood. She was a member of Twin Oaks United Methodist Church, Oakwood and was very active in the United Methodist Women's Group.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
