William F. "Bill" Birmingham Jr.
OTTAWA – William F. "Bill" Birmingham Jr., 75, of Ottawa, died 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center, Ottawa. He was born February 6, 1946 in Cincinnati to the late William F. and Agnes (McDonough) Birmingham Sr. On February 4, 1967 he married Barbara Mulvey, she survives in Ottawa.
Bill is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Mark) Reynolds of Delphos, and Bridget (Kevin) Rosengarten of Ottawa; four grandsons: Bryan Buck, Josh, Ty and Greg Rosengarten; a sister: Beatrice Randle of Cincinnati; a sister-in-law: Mary Cay Kohnen of Columbus; and a brother-in-law: Denny (MaryLou) Mulvey of Cincinnati
He is preceded in death by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Mary Birmingham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Cornelia Mulvey; and two brothers-in-law, George Randle and Bobby Kohnen
Bill had retired from St. Gerard Catholic School and Church in Lima as a maintenance worker. He loved all things sports, you could often find him in front of the TV watching any sport that was on. Bill was an avid Notre Dame and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He enjoyed classic cars. He was Irish to the bone and had many Irish qualities, including his “occasional” stubbornness. Bill was also known for his many clever sayings that will continue to be used by his family and friends.
Funeral Mass will begin 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
