William “Bill” Imm

  OTTAWA – William “Bill” Imm, 74 of Ottawa died 11:10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at The Meadows of Ottawa.  He was born October 5, 1947 in Lima to the late Gilbert and Louise (Beutler) Imm.  On July 29, 1967 he married Janet Schreiber.  She died December 6, 2012.

  Survivors include three children: Sherry (Francis) Siefer, Bruce (Cara) Imm and Brian (Sara) Imm all of Ottawa; five grandchildren: Emily (Zach) Niese, Erica Siefer, Zack Imm, Leah Imm and Aubrey Imm; two siblings: Patrick (Mary Ann) Imm of Deshler, and Dan (Rose) Imm of Ottawa; and a sister-in-law, Judy Imm of Ottawa.

He was also preceded in death by four siblings: Carol (Chuck) Sylvia, John (Mary Ann) Imm, Mike Imm and Jeff Imm.

  Bill retired in 2002 as a dispatcher for AEP.  After retirement, he helped Cherry’s Propane.  Bill was a SPPS grade school graduate and 1st graduating class of OGHS in 1965.  He was a US Navy veteran.  He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, Ottawa Legion Post #63, VFW 9142, and Eagles. Janet and Bill camped on their honeymoon and every year after.  They would spend summers at their lake house in Oak Harbor for 40 years and winters in Florida.  Many friends and family would visit and enjoy good times. Bill also enjoyed harness racing as an owner and spectator.

  Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

  Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
