Jeanette A. Gluss

   HAMLER -   Jeanette A. Gluss, 86, of Hamler died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born January 20, 1930 in Glandorf to the late Adolph and Adeline (Kreinbrink) Kleman. On June 27, 1951 she married Aloysius H. Schnipke who died January 27, 1967. On August 1, 1970 she married William Gluss who died November 23, 2014.

   She is survived by six children: Victor (Kathy) Schnipke of Portage, Helen (A.D.) Schroeder of Ottawa, Norm (Rose) Schnipke of Columbus Grove, Don (Linda) Schnipke of Galesburg, MI, Phyllis (John) Niese of Leipsic, and Carol (Jeff) Knieper of Addison, MI; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother: Paul (Marlene) Kleman of Glandorf; and a sister: Dorothy Riepenhoff of Miller City; and a sister-in-law: Hilda Kleman of Delphos. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Joyce Ellerbrock; a grandson: Brent Schroeder; two brothers: Richard and James Kleman; and three sisters: Sylvia Niese, Leona Kleman, and Odelia Kleman.

   Jeanette was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler and its Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of St. Nicholas, Miller City Catholic Ladies of Columbia.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler with Fr. Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Miller City. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from noon on Friday until the departure for mass at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. There will be a Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Brent Schroeder Scholarship Fund at the University of Dayton or to The Meadows of Ottawa.
