Jack made John and I laugh many, many times. There was a quick witt about Jack that was so spontaneous! Jack helped Fortman Insurance with odd jobs that had to be done to the outside of our building. He made a swing that we purchased for my parents. There are many "Jack Items" all over -- he was quite the worker, besides entertaining people with his humor. You all had a grand husband, father, grandfather, friend... :)

Pat and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Jack always made me smile and he always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed by so many and mainly you the family. Pat I want to give you and big hug, but we are out of town. Love you, see you when we get back to Ohio, Sue. Again, our thoughts and prayers for all of you.

Condolences to the family. He will be missed.
I have many fond memories of Jack with lots of laughter. He told me my uncles taught him to be so ornery, but I know that came natural(ly). There are lots of wonderful ways he left his mark in this world. Jack let me help him with a few-of course those were left scribed in concrete.

Our family will always be touched with comfort and gratitude that 'Jack' drove 5 1/2 hrs to Joliet, Illinois to pay respects to his boyhood friend, our dad, Fred Ellerbrock. Dad passed December 14, 2001. We as a family will forever hold that kind, kind gesture in our hearts. Jack is a testament to a true gentlemen and friend. Rest in peace Jack, may you and dad "Freddie" rekindle that old friendship until we all meet again.

My prayers and warmest thoughts go out to Pat and family members. It was a real pleasure knowing Jack for many years. When we were first married, he sold us the aluminum siding for out house installed by Bowman Brothers of Lima. I loved him when he was bar tender at the Black Angus when I was in the Lou Breece house band. I also have fond memories of having coffee with him at L&K and McDonalds. The world is a better place for having people such as Jack. May we seem him again in the next life. Sincerely, Bob Clark

I had the pleasure of meeting Jack when I was the secretary for the Putnam County Airport Board, of which Jack was a board member. He truly did love life and was so concerned about the airport which made him a good board member. I met his wife, Pat quite a few years earlier as she is a classmate friend of my brother Cork. My sympathy to the whole family
