Mary Louise (Now) Croy

   OTTAWA - Mary Louise (Now) Croy passed away 5:41 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the age of 85, at The Meadows of Ottawa. Mary was born on December 19, 1930 in Rockford, OH to the late Herbert and Helen (Alexander) Now. On July 3, 1948 she married William E. Croy who died December 29, 2002.

   Mary is survived by three daughters: Nancy (Michael) Vogt of Belle Center, Phyllis (Tim) Macke and Maria Lydick both of Ottawa; a son: Fred Croy of Columbus Grove; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; a sister: Janet Schellin of Xenia, and a daughter-in-law: Dorothy Croy of Powell.

   She was also preceded in death by two sons: William E. Jr., and Gary Croy; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Gephart and Sue Nessler; and her beloved dog:  Pudgee.

   Mary graduated from Ottawa Public School and married her high school sweetheart, William E. Croy. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa where she was a Sunday School teacher and past officer of United Methodist Women's Society. She enjoyed listening to music, gardening, bible study, crafting, doing word searches, and playing games.

   A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Rev. Lynda Lockwood and Rev. Megan Croy officiating. Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday all at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.

   Memorials may be made to any of the following: ALS Association, Bills Backers; Trinity United Methodist Church, Putnam County Home Care and Hospice; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
