Charles E. Pester
      Miller City -- Charles E. Pester, 93, of Miller City died 6:30 a.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Meadows at Putnam Acres.  He was born September 2, 1920 in Bainbridge, OH to the late Edward and Iva (Rhodes) Pester.  On November 21, 1944 he married Virginia Hermiller who survives.
      Also surviving are his children:  Kenneth (Sue) Pester of Ottawa, Donald (Sandy) Pester and Wayne (Lynn) Pester, both of Miller City, Connie (Duane) Maag of Leipsic and Alice (Greg) Borgelt of Glandorf; a sister: Clara Osborn of Cleveland;  22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
      Preceded in death by a son: Gerald Pester; a granddaughter:  Amber Pester; 3 brothers: John Pester; infants Harry and Jacob; and 3 sisters:  Stella Johns, Mary Lightle, and infant Catherine.
     Charles retired from Greensburg Township maintenance and had also been a lifelong farmer.  Charles was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, the Ottawa Eagles and the Miller City Sportsmen Club.  He was also an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan.
      Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Steven Schroeder officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and again Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  A scripture service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
