KALIDA – Robert Lee Siefker, 56, of Kalida died at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1955 in Lima to Harry and Rose Marie (Nartker) Siefker. His father survives in Kalida and his mother is deceased. On January 11, 1975 he married Diane Schnipke who survives in Kalida.
Also surviving are 3 children: Kerri (Matthew) Jutte of Blacklick, Christopher (Melissa) Siefker of Pickerington, and Holly (Kenneth) Frey of Forest; 9 grandchildren: Ashley Jutte, Tyler Jutte, Hunter Siefker, Chase Siefker, Logan Siefker, Christina Siefker, Rylee Frey, Lilly Frey, and Makaylee Frey; 2 brothers: Joe (Doris) Siefker of Kalida and Dr. Tom (Cheryl) Siefker of Ottoville; and a sister: Miriam Miller of Kalida. He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Brayden Siefker and a brother-in-law: Thomas Miller.
Bob was retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima and was a part-time truck driver for K & M Tire of Delphos. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, its Holy Name Society, and the Kalida Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of UAW Local 1219 and Kalida Fish and Game. He enjoyed traveling, working out in the yard, boating and fishing. Bob would never say no to anyone who needed help. He loved Christmas time and especially loved to spoil his grandkids.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (corner of US 224 and St. Rt. 634) where there will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House or to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
