Aunt Rosie was a terrific woman.  She was my godmother, and it made me feel good to know that she had our backs, if anything ever happened.  I loved visiting her in Ottawa; her home was always so lovely, and her gardens were meticulous.  You could see the love.  But my favorite "snapshot" of her home was the sailfish she had hanging over her couch back then.  I remember staring at that fish for the longest time.  She was such an adventurer--to get your pilot's license at 50--now that's an amazing accomplishment.  And I add my thanks to you all who took such faithful care of her in her last years.  I hope there's a big garden in the heavens that needs some work; I know she'll be there.  And last, I just want to say what a beautiful photo you picked for her obituary--she was a gorgeous woman.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Aunt Eileen Drerup, her daughter Linda Drerup and Rosemarie Drerup Schroeder - the first of Aunt Rosie's 46 nieces and nephews  -  for taking such wonderful care of Aunt Rosie the past few years.  Judy Cowan (daughter of Rita Drerup Wagner, and 11th of the 46 nieces and nephews.)

Rosemary was the most enjoyable and interesting person we've encountered in our brief time we've been living in  Findlay.  She shared so much of her thyme and enthusiasm in active appreciation of so many things. Rosemary was the ultimate homemaker in our eyes and my favorite pragmatist.  She was more than  wonderful and we were damn lucky to have known her.

There will be one less bright spot in the world without Rosemary.   She was a classy woman.  Every time we spent with her we learned something.  Rosemary was one of a kind.  Of all the words to describe her 'fun' is the first that comes to mind.  She always had an interesting fun story to tell, always ready to have a wee drink and a chat.  Always ready to join in a creative, fun activity.

Rosemary was loved and will be remembered by everyone who knew her.  Wayne and I were very fortunate to know such a lovely woman.
