     Continental -- Todd S. McLaughlin, 47, of Continental died 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.  He was born in Lima, November 10, 1967 to Kenneth and Grace (Martin) McLaughlin.  His father is deceased and his mother survives in Cloverdale.  On May 7, 2011 he married Angie Slattman, who survives in Continental.
     Also surviving are his daughters:  Melody, Courtney and Victoria "Tori" who are all at home; 5 brothers:  Mike (Melissa) McLaughlin of Continental, Mark (Tamara Price) McLaughlin of Dupont, and Patrick McLaughlin, Chuck McLaughlin and Christopher McLaughlin all of Cloverdale;  a sister: Dianna and David Hamm of Wickliffe; his nieces and nephews:  Bradley and Jessica McLaughlin, Rachel and Alyssa Hamm, Kenny, Sammy and Tony McLaughlin, and Chris Stanley; his father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Gary and Judy Slattman of Continental; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law:  Mike (Char) Slattman of Wauseon, Amy (Jon) Thornton of Springboro, and Marcy (Troy) Diddle of Van Wert; and his nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law:  Taylor and Olivia Rodriguez, Cameron, Lela, and Alex Slattman, Amanda, Ashley, and Richard "Bubba" Thornton, and Teagon Thatcher.
     He is preceded in death by a niece, Ashley Stanley.
     Todd was a navy veteran and had been a machinist for the former Marathon Electric.  He enjoyed computers, guns and cars, especially corvettes.  He was a Sci-Fi enthusiast, with his favorites being Star Trek and Star Wars.  One of his greatest loves was spending time with his family.
     His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Deacon Joe Heeter officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday for one hour prior to the service at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.
